I don't know about defying an explanation but the weirdest thing is probably weather related for me.
I was running down a road with my friend and I guess it was the smallest rain cloud I've ever known to exist went past us, down the road, then back over our heads again.
Like one of those cartoons when someone is sad and the rain is purely concentrated above them, or like someone spraying a pressure washer over us. It was quite far to the left and right of us but we could see where the rain cloud began and ended and where it was moving in terms of front to back.
Probably a rain cloud but I've never seen anything close to like that since.
