Give it a shot! Start applying to local grocery stores or little casual fast food places like Chipotle or Chick fill a. Some place that has a lot of folks your age working. I think you will really like it.

Just because the owner doesnt agree with gay marriage? They have the best customer service of any fast food joint I've ever been to, and everyone there is super friendly. Chipotle is a good option too though.
