I am familiar with all the bands the Rev mentioned, and have music from all of them. But I only recognized the Led Zeppelin lyrics. #uncouth When I was younger, people used to tell me to go buy a six-pack of couth and drink it all in one sitting.
It's a shame Astral Weeks isn't more famous. I suppose the fact that he didn't release any singles from the album (as the least interesting part of Van Morrison's plan to get out of his contract with Bang Records) had something to do with it.
Also, if you have a copy of Taxi Driver, Martin Scorsese claimed he based the first 15 minutes of the film on Astral Weeks.
I went and listened to some of the tracks on Astral Weeks. Looks like I have some more Van Morrison purchases in my future.
