Yet, snowball earth is very recent geologic history
Geologically recent? Yes. Biologically recent? No.
Seeds wouldn't have existed at that time. Multi-cellular life was devoloping in the oceans, which would still be present under the ice.
I'd like to know which scientists are talking about seeds in ice 600 mya.
