Well, as a long time Christian, I am having that exact feeling from this news!
I've been thinking about this new information for a week now!

Well look at it this way, does Allah sound too good to be true or sound impossible to you?
Do you really believe a man magically popped out of dirt? Do you really think a baby can be born without a second set of DNA? If you would not find it credible for a dead body to get up and walk after 3 days today, what makes you think it happened back then?
You know that old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
There were a few real people and places in that book, but those people were peppered into after the fact in retrofitting to lend the story false credibility. WHAT NEVER happened regardless were the fantastic claims.
Just like you would rightfully reject any of the fantastic claims of the Koran. Just like you rightfully reject the polytheism of the ancient Egyptians, even though they had real Pharaohs.
Think about Peter Pan and Harry Potter mention the city of London, but you rightfully reject the idea of boys flying like depicted in those stories.
