Very insulting to the concept of God.
Assigning genders to God is pretty simple minded and insulting to the person's own mental ability. We must accept that some stuff in the universe are above what humans knew, like physical and mechanical properties.
In the Quran, there is an interesting verse about where God is:

I don't think that the creator of gender; would have a gender.

(101 ) [He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.
I don't think that the creator of gender; would have a gender.
