I think, even if religion seems retarded with its magic(everything is possible), still, a lot of people are surviving relaying on this chance. I don't know what would I do if I was born in Africa or Mexico.

NO, religions take advantage of the poor, desperate people make great recruits.

Religion as a word broken up to it's ancient roots literally means "to bind" which is what "lig" as in "ligature" means. "Rebind" or "to bind". "Religare"  is the Latin root.

Now, that is not to say religious people don't do good. But that good is NOT coming from an old book or a holy person in reality. It is coming from their own evolutionary empathy. That is the real reason humans do good, because they have empathy. There are certainly good religious people in every religion, sure, but the morality isn't in the religion itself, but in humans ability to be compassionate and have empathy for others.

For all the good humans claim religions do, it is constantly negated by the clammoring of competing sub sects and competition between umbrella labels within nations and among nations. Religion is a horrible way to conduct national, much less global diplomacy.

Now, it is not to say you can force any religion out of existence you cant, you'd be a monster if you tried. BUT religion does not deserve blind value. I am saying that humans have the potential to do good and be good, I simply disagree that it is coming from old mythologies , old books, or holy people. I'd say it was in our genes the entire time and that humans simply mistake that ability as being handed down to them from a super natural place or divine place.
