The point is whatever you make.

Several reasons, you're alive because two people cooperated and lived together to raise a child (if you come from a normative family) or an institution that took care of you. Someone took care of you so you could live from infancy to an adult.

If life's is just about surviving, then that means we should only care about ourselves and nothing else. So that means that hospitals and medicine and things like that should not exist. Nothing in ever matters so we might as well die and not exist since nothing we ever do as humans will accomplish a single thing. So why bother?
You're wrong. Survival is the only factor for continuing living and passing on ones genes for each individual. For social animals, cooperation is a big thing, from just 2 parents to a whole cohesive society. That takes a lot of value and caring about others than oneself. The antithesis to your statement is that medicine "and things" do exist, because people did care.
Every drop in an ocean matters, because what is an ocean if not a collection of water drops. We bother because if you want it or not, you have, by just existing an impact on the world. You consume food and energy, you take up space, you spend time on an Internet atheist forum complaining, stuff matters if you realize it or not.
For me, I just live from day to day and try and make the most of what situation I'm in; which right now is replying to the OP. Why? Because I can, and because I want to.

The only thing that exists is just us in a dark, empty void with a bunch of gases that we call the universe. That's it. So we should need to live a long, happy life since we will just die and soon be forgotten and wither away. Life comes from nothing, death means we become nothing, therefore life itself means absolutely nothing. I hate atheism.
That's a banal take on how the Universe is structured. Yes, we all are mortal, but our path throughout life is not a linear one to death, we cry, we laugh, we have mountains of experiences throughout a whole life. When it's gone, it's gone and you won't be around to complain that it is gone, because you'll be gone as well.
For me that means I should make the most of what I got, if not only something of what I got and what cards I've been dealt in life to do and contribute to the rest of society and my immediate environment.
Atheism has nothing to do with any of this nihilistic tripe you're spewing - it's merely a position on a single question: the lack of belief in the supernatural.
