LOL.  You must still be in grade school.  "Emotion is any conscious experience characterized by intense mental activity and a certain degree of pleasure or displeasure."  It's a mental, biological (often hormonal, you'll learn about that some day) reaction to stimuli.  "Love" - and let's leave out sexual attraction and just go with caring for the well-being of another - has been identified in many species, and they don't even have to be mammalian.  The fantasy that you carry within you some invisible undetectable eternal "self" that some call a "soul" has absolutely nothing to do with emotions.  It's simply a fantasy that comes from a fear of dying.  We humans are so egotistical that we can't imagine the universe going on without us.

You need to study some science, get out more, and stop pulling outrageous statements out of your imagination and creating childish ad hominem attacks against total strangers.

So, who is behind this mental activity?

Who is fuzzy?

YOU are.
And who is YOU?
Your consciousness......your soul or who else?
Try to sort that out so you will not spout fantasies once again.

   Actually, I'm not - that response completely fulfilled my expectations.  I just liked the sign.
Are you seriously telling me that you don't understand how electrical pulses travel along the axons and neurons in the brain?  You haven't heard of lobotomies - destroy one area of the brain, kill certain emotions and impulses forever?  You haven't read about the many, many instances of brain injury that removed the individuals ability to feel emotions, and completely altered the consciousness and behavior of the injured individual?  If emotions and consciousness was housed in a "soul", this would never happen.  Emotions reside only in the gray matter, Rik.  Mental activity = electrical impulses in a biological computer.  That is what the person is, the personality is, what emotions are.  There is no "soul".    The one who is spouting fantasies with no scientific support is, as usual, you.
