We are talking about consciousness in a human being.
Of course you also have energy-consciousness in a stone but that is consciousness-energy in a latent or inactive stage which will take million years before it manifest by evolving into plants, animals and human beings.
You surely can touch that latent consciousness-energy in the form of a stone, plant or animals but the topic was all about consciousness in a human being and NDEs.
In this case you can not touch, smell, see and hear which is just what I was saying.
The more the consciousness get subtle the more it get in an abstract form while the more it lose the awareness the more it become crude (visible, touchable and so on).
