Oh I'm not laughing at the Saints. I'm just still in elated disbelief that we won. I look at pictures and interviews of Drew Brees and he's just heartbroken.
My wife -- who doesn't really care about or understand the game -- couldn't take it that last half-minute. "This is too much; I'm out of here," she declared as she put one of our dogs on a leash and took her outside, leaving me to contemplate the dismal end to yet another playoff turkey by myself.
A couple of minutes later, she came bursting through the door in alarm at what she later described as the sound of a cat being strangled -- only to be told by her nearly disbelieving husband (the source of that inhuman sound) that she had missed the play of the year.
Yeah . . . 'elated disbelief'. That sums it up.
