This shows the atrocious and jaw-dropping mentality of American life. That judge should be removed and prosecuted for using his own ridiculous beliefs to interfere with the judicial process of a person's life. As an American, our freedoms only extend to as far as the religious right allows it and if you are a fellow American, you should be appalled and humiliated by this elected official's actions.
And don't kid yourself, if you think that this is isolated to a handful of lunatics, you're wrong. Even those who would dole out the reprimand to these sorts of fools are often secretly in support of their god's influence on all things governmental. Sure, they understand that such actions cannot be so blatant, and are forced to take (a mild) action against their own, but never doubt that this sort of biased religious horse shit is approved and condoned in this country ... "just keep it a little more subtle bro."
