Retail is dying regardless of Trump. While Toys R Us is imploding, Amazon is going like gangbusters.
Almost surprised the retail mall industry isn't beseeching congress for subsidies to keep their business plans viable. I'd like to see malls repurposed as halfway 'houses' for all manner of social needs. Like immersive addiction treatment, remediation for homelessness, re-integration of parolees, hospices for the needy, etc. The infrastructure is there, just need some funding to convert the malls and 'big box' stores to a new (and better) purpose.
