Yes, but bad intent does not disqualify a statement. The statement's truth or untruth does.
If a person says "The earth is a spherical object that revolves around the sun," you can't disqualify his statements simply because he is a bigoted person who hates flat earthers. This statement is true regardless of the speaker's intent. If you want to disqualify someone's statements you have to look at the statement itself. Not the person who said it.
