I don't see how Dresden, or even Hiroshima and Nagasaki, somehow precludes the fact that ISIS and all the other stains on humanity are bad?
I mean shit we can go back to YAWEH and the Omnicide of the flood and not see any other event enacted by humans as even remotely comparable. Don't mean shit when it comes to calling a spade a spade, G. If we're talking cognitive dissonance, yo, maybe start with your own house first yeah? And I know you don't believe ISIS represents islam or whatever, but hey, it does to someone, right? But let's save the Scotsmen for another time.
ISIS is doing what Mexican drug lords are doing; both are stains of filth, but as ISIS blows and kills civilians, the west is burning civilians on war; and WW2 is my example.
When you take the historical context; it's pretty normal to see stains of filth like ISIS, get produced from the stains of filth before them that used to "burn" civilians alive, to punish foes.
ISIS, Mexican drug gangs, Iran, Assad, the U.S, Nato, all use the same exact tactic of bombing your family if you stand against them.
All are stains of filth.
The first thing in ISIS's propaganda, is the following of the western example in war. They literally say it: "we bomb western civilians because the west kills Muslim civilians".
Yes, the killing of Arab civilians does act as a recruitment tool for Isis. Drone strikes are particularly problematic as they take out way more innocent civilians than they do the target. Some times things aren't even vetted properly in choosing the target. Particularly bad is that many of the civilians killed in drone strikes are children.

True. I'm not sure what we get out of helping Israel though. Maybe we think they maintain a certain balance of power? Or just that it gets the votes of Christian fundamentalists?
