I enjoyed those -- a few catchy riffs in there.
To a large extent, what we perceive as emotion is informed by the music around us (for instance, thinking of a minor chord as "sad" in the western musical tradition). If you decide to delve a bit into formal composition, I'd suggest concentrating first on harmony. By learning how chord sequences fit together, and why some combinations work better than others, that'll give you the ability to precisely shape a song to communicate what you want it to say.
