Sharia is still shit. Also thats just until they can replace those laws. The bible says something similar. Why a feminist or an atheist would defend sharia law is beyond me.

The opening post of this was incorrect about sex with prepubescent girls or female genital mutilation being part of sharia, but capital punishment and things like the cutting off of hands are part of it.

Sharia law sucks. There is no good defense for it. Pointing out a tiny part of it that doesn't suck doesn't make it good any more than putting chocolate in a shit sandwich makes it delicious.

The Bible may say something similar, and yet plenty of Christian still nevertheless have varying interpretations of Biblical/Mosaic law. It's the same thing with Muslims and Sharia. For some Muslims, it simply means nothing more than justice.
