My mother left the Catholic church in her late 50s (I couldn't believe it!) because our parish priest was caught fucking one of the worst pedophiles in the priesthood. Who knows what else they did together. He wasn't even defrocked, just moved around, and that was in 2012 Or something, after the church supposedly reformed this. Bunch of lying boyfuckers.

Can't get much closer to home than that. We literally had him over to dinner, although I had left the church and was an Atheist by then anyway.
