She's a middle school teacher, so that explains a lot honestly. Some of the worst teachers I've known (as a parent, as a student, and as a teacher) have been middle school teachers. Not that there aren't some really great middle school teachers, but usually ones like her teach middle school.
Hopefully she gets fired, and isn't allowed to teach again. Though I'm sure some Christian school will gladly take her in.
She better get fired and never enter a classroom for the rest of her life. If she doesn't, we are a more fucked up country than I even imagined.
