Yeah once we found out there was no blood we were thinking the object that fell down the stairs was the object that was shot which is why they couldn't find the bullet just the casing. I'm hoping it was stupid gun handling and they got scared that's why they ran and tires screeching away. Better than an act of crime.

That said, on occasion, people do feel vulnerable. My mom lives in a house, in a village, and she likes having a baseball bat near her bed. Still, in some 20 years, she never had any problems there.
Why would you keep your gun in your truck? Is that the responsible gun-owner thing to do?
How think are your outer walls? Would a gun shot pierce through?
Well I can hear my upstairs neighbor's phone vibrate at night and I can hear every person that goes up and down the stairs so I think they are thin walls but I don't know if a bullet would go through or not.
My gun is in my truck because I hate carrying it back and forth from the house and truck every day and I felt safe in my house but not the places I go with my truck. I figured I would rather leave it on my truck and always have it than forget it on accident at home and need it at the gas station or summin. You can bet I will be taking it inside tonight.
