Is there any proof that plants don't have feelings or thoughts? Even if they don't, they're still living things. And humans are natural omnivores, it's true that we accomplished many things which we weren't naturally supposed to, but is it good to surpress our need of meat and other animal products? Even if all humas stopped eating meat, there will still be other carnivore and omnivore animals, so the killing of animals will never stop.
I didn't see where anyone has mentioned lab-grown meat, so, there are companies that are attempting to scale up and reduce costs for eventual sale of lag-grown meats to the public. Check out Memphis Meats. Also, I think there was a thread here about it recently, but I cant find it. The response from ethical vegans should interesting if this does indeed comes online for the public.
When you say feelings, do you mean emotion, sensory experience or something else?
