To be honest I don't think TOS has dated particularly well.
TNG is better, for the most part, but even the early episodes of that had some truly terrible moments. "Skin of Evile", for instance. But it picks up really well with "Best of Both Worlds".
I agree that TOS hasn't aged well.
Also, I think you'd like "Skin of Evil" since you said you disliked Tasha Yar in the other thread.
