Sure, but most swear words don't actually have any more or less meaning than other innocuous words. They're considered vulgar (common) because they're slang and snobby people didn't like common people, so you have swear words. For example, bitch, when used as a swear, means difficult, complain or rude. "This bolt is a bitch to get off." "She's been bitching about that all day long." "That lady at the drive-thru is always bitchy in the morning." Another example is fuck. Fuck can be used a number of ways, none of them are even insulting. They're just too "common" or "vulgar" for the posh types. Fuck can mean to have sex, it can be used as an adjective like very. My point is that the vast majority of swears are completely harmless and carry no extra meaning than their more acceptable synonyms, whereas racial slurs are not and don't have acceptable synonyms. They're not "common" language. They are terms used by racist people to denigrate people of a certain race.

Have you become a language snowflake? Do you need a safe space?
For what it's worth..the very minute this place starts deciding "vulgar" language is verboten I'm peacing right the fuck out. It';d save the poor mods the trouble of booting me when I inevitably saying something "vulgar" like "your fairy story is un-conconvincing bullshit" either in a thread title or the thread proper.
I reckon you'd see a mass exodus. I also reckon the majority of the staff is 100% against this.
