As Mister Agenda said, you are asserting without backing it up with evidence.
Fact is that YOU DON'T KNOW THAT THE UNIVERSE BEGAN TO EXIST.
So what you are actually doing is:
1. Everything that begins to exist (P) has a cause. (Q)
2. The universe began to exist. ( R )
3. Therefore, the universe has a cause. (Q)
