Hey Deb, forget "evil" for a moment. That's an arbitrary term.
Do you think bambi being ripped apart alive by a hyena (as part of God's plan) is a good thing in itself? Are you indifferent towards it?
I'm suspecting that religious people have desensitised themselves towards natural violence as part of their indoctrination as a way of coming to terms with God and his deeds in the bible...
EG: if it's ok for God to genocide the whole planet, what's one dead baby dear in comparison....
As atheists, we know and accept this as without this, we wouldn't have evolved to what we are today in, the first place.
We know that evolution is blind, unconscious and wouldn't know what a baby dear is anyway...
We accept this, it doesn't mean we have to necessarily think it's a good thing.
