They've been back pedaling on adultery since the divorce liberalization movement of the 60s and 70s, despite there being a rather specific commandment on the topic, and of course Jesus's extremely pointed reminder of how He views the issue.
Clearly, His followers think they know better and want to take the lead on adding adultery to the list of sacraments approved in their faith now.
