I know others make a big deal about character but I don't see the personal lives of politicians having a whole lot of effect on actual governance. Bill Clinton was a lecher but was still a pretty good president. Newt Gingrich treated his wives despicably and yet proved to be one of the most effective House Speakers ever. LBJ's personal racism didn't seem to affect his civil rights agenda. JFK's multiple affairs didn't hinder America's space program. How people vote and who they support is not a simple calculus. The best of men are men at best.
