It really seems that they don't know what persecution is, because telling facts or joking or even ridiculing Christianity is not persecution. I mean if you can destroy something with a joke or a fact then that should not have existed in the first place.
I wouldn't put it like that.
Christians can be and certainly ARE persecuted, just not in America. They are in the Middle East.
But minorities like Muslims who live in America have far more to worry about living here. But even gay believers in both religions have a hard time in both geographies.
Hindus and Buddhists have attacked Muslims in their countries.
"Persecuted" is a geography thing, not a label thing. Labels certainly are used to justify it, but humans are tribal and don't like their social norms upset. In the west we have a longer time keeping a leash on religious tribalism. But even today we are not perfect about it.
Any religion can be used as a weapon. But, majority vs minority is geographical.
The divisions even under the same umbrella labels exist too. You cant get a coastal liberal Christian to agree with a middle America red state Christian,.
But I do agree, the conservatives in America are fucking crybabies. The Christians who live in Islamic countries have far more to bitch about.
