Again, I'm sorry if that is the impression. Quran contains proofs, but the proofs are there, not due to Quran saying it nor should anyone believe in anything simply because they think it said, which maybe a false interpretation anyways, but Quran if it's truly a recitation from God, says proofs, because God has knowledge of the proofs and provides them in the best manner.
I think you missed my backward approach thread. It basically says, you don't have to believe in Quran or Ahlulbayt (as) to study them, because proofs if they exist, would be best explained by God.
Of course, it's tough, not knowing if they are from God to give them a serious study, but still, if a proof of his existence and path to him exists, it's best provided by God and the guidance he provides, and the Guides he appoints as his names and representatives.
