A lone woman going on a mass shooting spree is certainly new.
Rare you could argue, but NOT NEW, not even close.

And when I say "rare" I DONT MEAN scarce. I mean ratio wise when it comes to humans shooting more than one human in one setting men will do it more often. But again, when you are talking about ALL firearm fatalities most of them are IN THE HOME, and most of the victims are WOMEN AND KIDS.

I do get what you are saying. But the majority of the time when we go down that road it provides the right the distraction they want.
If we only had the same volume of firearm fatalities as say Australia or Japan, the "why" would be more appropriate as a front burner issue.
We are not at a point in history where the motive matters. Until the flooded market and ease of access is tackled our focus should be on that, not motive.
Brian, it’s human nature to ask yourself, “gee, I wonder why he did it?” I mean, human interest in the psychology of motive lead to profilers being able to identify common attributes in serial killers and child molesters. Just because people wonder why someone did something, doesn’t mean they’re pushing a a political agenda. You have to be able to compartmentalize better.
I agree.
BUT AGAIN, when you have a flooded market and anyone REGARDLESS can gain access to a weapon legally with no record, then go on after the legal buy to kill someone, or if someone gets their gun illegally stolen, and they murder someone, IN BOTH cases, the point is moot.
The motif may be to many a "human interest" story, but again, at this point in history, our flooded market and ease of access seems to me to be a far more important focus, considering the countless murders we have with a variety of countless motives.
