I find Celine Dion's music sickeningly kitschy and dreadfully boring. It's elevator music with lyrics, over-processed sonic bubble-gum, designed to have such a wide appeal, that it has no character, or warmth.
But that's just me. I think most people dislike her, because that stupid Titanic song was over-played ad nauseam in the late 90's, to the point of becoming unavoidable, which tends to annoy people with working ears and a musical taste. Consequently both the song and the performer associated with it became a dated cringe meme, just like, say, Brian Adams did because of that Robin Hood ditty.
