Atheism doesn't promise anything or have "followers"..lol, let alone some "dark substitution". Nor does the promise of cake change the nature of anything that leads up to it.
If a silly and immoral religion has cake at the end..it's still a silly and immoral religion. That you're willing to say, think, accept..and, frankly...do, if given the chance...silly and immoral things for cake is a problem.
