I think that's just semantic nit-picking. Believing that demonic possessions are possible means believing that at least in some cases a person displaying symptoms of mental illness is in fact possessed by devils. That's what the bible says and that's the position of your church.
In the same way - a person can think that SOME women are sexual objects (you know - the "sluts" and the "whores"), but not the good ones, like their family members, or - I don't know - Queen Elizabeth II.
The problem is that you're trying to equate my beliefs regarding demons to the belief that women are objects. Believing that demonic possessions are possible isn't an immoral position. Believing that women are objects, is. So it's not a fair or equal comparison.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
