You're right, there is no proof of a mechanism that would keep 'microevolutionary changes' from accumulating into 'macroevolutionary changes'. If there is such a thing, whoever discovered it would earn a well-deserved Nobel Prize. In the meantime, asserting that microevolutionary change can't accumulate into macroevolutionary change over more time is akin to claiming that we ought to doubt that a person who can walk ten miles in a day can walk thousands of miles in a year.
