Granted, my "have to" is a specific value of "have to" - as in, they have to reconcile co-equal truths.  If there is a god..okay.  There are also facts of biology.  They would both have to be true, and if we have to deny some fact in order to purchase credibility for the god idea...well..it's not credible, it's not a co-equal truth.

I agree, even though I think that a person could have rational god beliefs.....if their beliefs aren't in that hypothetical set then it would be far better if they communicated that accurately to others..and more importantly, to themselves.

I don't think it's possible to rationally believe in God if by "God" we mean "a being outside the universe."

If we just mean some superintelligent being that one day shows up and claims to have designed everything, then sure. But that's not the same thing as God.

Our boy CDF could use a heaping helping of self awareness.

His head is clearly so full of theistic bullshit that it's going to take a whole paradigm shift and a total change of lifestyle if he's to even actually start listening to what we're saying. He's far too swamped in his theism and creationism to listen... clearly. He's just preaching his crap at us and not one part of him seems to even want to consider the fact that we might be right and he might be miseducated.
