God commands murder - Chronicles 13:15-18. God commands more murder -Numbers 25 and rewarded Phinehas for going Son of Sam on two lovers. He kills every one on earth except eight. He ordains his own son to be slaughtered.
God says "Thou shall not commit murder".
How does one derive an objective moral basis for not committing murder based on this?
This is true even on the level of Man. In the form of the state declaring war, or executing a criminal, or in a liberal state allow abortions. lest you think all women who've had abortions are murders...
So then how is God restricted to make the distinction between murder and killing if we can do the very same thing?
