Faith is the simplistic abdication of reason and the ultimate expression of intellectual laziness.
Yet, Christians are not intellectually lazy in general. Some of the best scientists in history were believers, including one of the best of all time, Isaac Newton. Faith is a gift from God. There is plenty of intellectual study which can be had regarding Christianity from archaeology, to history, to science, to mathematics,......
I made no such suggestion.
ETA: to be clear newton believed in alchemy. That is stupid, but in no way invalidates his work on gravity or calculus. This is one of the strengths of science. Toss the baloney and retain the useful. Same happened with Einstein.
