Nonetheless, something you said reminded me of this passage.

Do you believe these things happened? Well, why not? Herodotus was an educated man, a critical historian, and he consulted eyewitnesses, and he clearly saw nothing to doubt in these events.1 So why should we? If you're smart, reasonably educated, and honest, you'll have to admit your doubts here are rather strong. And I'm sure if someone came knocking on your door, insisting these things were true, you'd defend your doubts as entirely reasonable.

I spend a lot of time reading the Bible and I am familiar with the faith portion of healing.  It also has to fall into God's divine plan whether you are healed or not.  He may have a purpose for my aliments that I am not even aware of or it could just be do to my sin.  

God does want us to find joy in this life, I agree (after we repent of course) but we also have to play the cards we are dealt.

Clearly not enough time, you're still broken and you;re still here.  You could have your nose buried in magic book right now.  You'd have to be balls to the wall crazy to believe that god and magic book could heal you...and yet spend you time doing anything else.

Maybe the point of your illness is to get you to stop bullshitting people about him?  Maybe your sin..is hubris?

I enjoy discussing these things.  I read the Bible as I type on here often, just looking at different verses and what not.
