That's really stupid making a leap from that statement to D.N.A. They had already worked out that if you lost your blood, you would die, hence the statement. It does not in any way detail D.N.A.
It's as daft as the people who read that god stretched out the heavens (like a tent stretched over the earth) and making it into god expanded the universe, it's full of dishonestly, or a great deal of wishful thinking.
