I think his habit of rewriting what magic book -meant- to say shows that he's perfectly capable of free thought..and, in fact, prefers it to the "symbolism" of magic book.  

Personally, I can;t get him to accept a single damned thing magic book says.

It's pointless. You should just quit while you're ahead because you can't fix stupid and you're trying to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

We should keep this going at least until Beccs finds someone to stab. We owe her that much.
