I think it's really sad that religion can normalize threats so much that "do what I say or Jesus will kill/torture you" is seen as acceptable. I wonder if he'd see threats from a Muslim the same way?

Let me write a little play, in a similar vein to the Matt D sketch.

"Hi, can I help you?"

"There's a sniper in the city! He's shooting people who don't do what he says!"

"Wow, really? What does he want people to do?"

"Wear red hats and walk backwards."

"Why does he want us to do that? Never mind, thank you for the warning. I'll watch out for him."

"Isn't he amazing?"

"Who?"

"The sniper! He loves us so much."

"What!?"

"Let's go shout out how wonderful he is, together."

"You're nuts. Goodbye."

That is a terrible analogy.  Evil and sin existed when the devil rebelled against God.  Man and Woman were tempted in the Garden of Eden and they rebelled against God.  Since that day, a curse has fallen upon this land which will one day be destroyed by fire along with the wicked souls who caused such harm.  The Lord Jesus, the living eternal Son of God, came here Himself as the perfect servant leader and sacrificed and died for our sins.  He imparted His perfect righteousness upon us so that we may be saved.  All we have to do is accept His free gift of salvation; hence, we are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is why you analogy and videos,..., are just horrible.
