That is simply not true.

Seeing God is expressed in prayers of almost all mystics of all religions, but they all explain it's not the true self of God which is beyond all vision.

If you show me one claiming to see the full direct reality of God as he sees himself, I will withdraw that statement.

I've never even seen a mentally ill person claim that, let alone, others.
