You guys aren't the only jury that are important to pay attention to.
He is pretty much showing tit for that, method. You guys aren't will to research but just claim there is no evidence of design, or if you do research, you don't dismantle the evidence out there.
Rather you take it as good enough you deny that it's not evidence.
If most humans are not reasoning properly, there is no reason humans ought to think you guys are reasoning on the other hand properly either.
No, we're not the only jury, but we're not willing to accept religious books or religious claims as evidence. Nor are most of us trying to convince people that our way is the only way, usually backed up with threats of eternal torment.
You will find that most atheists, myself included, were believers at some stage, often very devout (please don't pull the "you weren't REAL believers" crap).
Any many of us have researched various religious claims and dismissed them after tgat research.
Religious claims in themselves are never evidence. But God's proof and how exactly we are connected to him if he exists and are connected to him, is not something we can impose ignorance on.
And it's convenient to dismiss any capability of realizing higher inward realities, by just doing away with it as hallucination or a spectrum of illness.
But at the end, to see you have to see yourself, and no one can make you take that plunge.
I believe personally the strongest proof when it comes to God, is that his witnessing reality to all things, is how things are defined and experienced through love, we all believe there is a true reality to our personhood, and we all know it's not a physical thing, but an idea, an idea that is real and we experience as ourselves yet we don't know ourselves fully, so where does the true idea of ourselves exist? It's a command from God to exist, from his vision, and only the absolute judge can account for our actions and judge us. Yet what are we at the end, but a judgement from the absolute vision, that all the loving acts or hateful acts, good or bad acts, and hue and form of our personality, where is that but in the vision of God?
We see degree of it like we see stars from a far place, we don't experience the absolute judgement to who we are, even if we had 100% accurate vision, it would not be absolute vision, but we aren't partly existing, we are existing, and so our personhood is in the vision of God and no one truly knows us but him.
