Because it says so in the Bible. Yet I reject the Bible because it is a claim with no evidence to back it up. There is though plenty of real-world evidence (already provided) that all that we are resides in our brain.

So we're back to my original point. There is no spirit/soul. There is no afterlife. When you die consciousness stops and you're gone for good.

With all you say the answer is still, you are wrong. Evidence is not proof and your statement is as if the evidence is proof. Show me with proof there is no spirit/soul, until you can you live a risky life.
