It was still awful though. If something someone says or does is awful, we should be able and willing to identify it as such witrhout pointing our finger and saying, “but they’re worse!” What Rosanne Barr said was “only words”, but no one on the left had trouble identifying them as the vile, hateful, and unacceptable words that they were.
