It was still awful though. If something someone says or does is awful, we should be to identify it as such witrhout pointing our finger and saying, “but they’re worse!” What Rosanne Barr said was “only words”, but no one on the left had trouble identifying them as the vile, hateful, and unacceptable words that they were.
It was awful but so are the comments that get praise in the media comparing Trump to Hitler and likening America to Nazi Germany. So is calling Ivanka a feckless cunt. I don’t really like Trump but the media has had free reign to mud sling Trump for a long time. Now people are surprised by this comment. It was awful but the media has done this. Personally I don’t care what celebs and ex celebs say all that much. Many of them are assholes and they say things to remain relevant.
