Take the example of a sick person. The disease ate their body, and they see the whole world living it up while they are stuck in their bed or chair. Disbelief becomes more reasonable way to satisfy the anger.
Bashing "God" for the misery of the day seems like the perfect scapegoat. But aren't we ignoring the fact, that our existence here might not be for pleasure?
In other words; who said that we should enjoy this life? who said that we must satisfy the stereotype and live the predefined role dictated by the society?
Other organisms have it worse; I mean look at bugs, look at a roach being eaten by ants, or a spider with broken legs at your bathroom.
I wouldn't bash God, I would bash life.
Yes, I do get emotional when people use their religion to justify violence and or oppression. Yes I do get emotional when people use it to deny science.
No, I am not sorry. You tell me why any empathetic sane person should not get angry at those things?
Who said we have to be miserable 100% of our lives? Of course humans have ups and downs but how dare you imply I should not have joy in my life.
Other organisms have it worse? HOLY SHIT BATMAN, that is the same bad logic I get from Republicans and Libertarians when they argue that working 80 hours a week is a badge of honor, "Other countries have it worse".... No shit, so are you arguing we should reduce our selves to their slave wages to compete?
I bash the logic of God belief. Roaches get eaten by other bugs, bacteria can kill a healthy adult and? Bad shit happening in life does not mean we have to assign super heros and ground villains to explain why good or bad happen. And no, do not expect me to feel bad about having some joy in my life. I am not happy 100 percent in my life no, but why the fuck should I not have some joy?
Atlass, out of all the theists here I have far less problems with you than I do many of the Christians but my overall objection to all religions, are not the individuals themselves, but where they think our species good or bad behaviors come from.
YES, if your religion tells you to blow airplanes up, then I have a problem with you, the individual. If your religion tells you to deny blacks or gays equal rights, again, I have a problem with you. If your religion tells you to deny the age of the planet, or climate change, again, YES I have a problem with that.
