This is a personal thing..but if someone buys me a drink..I take it, and then I buy them a pitcher. The very worst thing that can happen is that I've just made a friend.
OTOH, I've had some pretty nasty tabs in my day. Whats money for if not for spending though, amiright?
There's no reason to feel weird. Suppose the person who buys you the drink does like you? So what. It's also equally possible that they do like guys..don't like you..but think you look like you need a drink. Really, it doesn't matter how it goes down or what the specifics of the persons interests are. It's an extension of goodwill.
"Rounds for the bar on my tab" is easily one of the single greatest things any person ever says about anything. It should happen more often. My wife and I were the king and queen of a hole in the wall because we just wanted everybody there to be as happy and unconcerned as we were. It was fundamental to how our relationship developed. Buy the pitchers, open the table, cover the guy in front of you searching his pockets. It's all good all the time in every situation place, or circumstance.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
