My real opinion is... If you want to walk around looking like a bin bag on the say so of some bullshit book, crack on with it at home. If on the other hand you are being made to cover by your husband/family then that's another example of religion oppressing people.
I am for banning face coverings of all descriptions in the public space, regardless of the reasoning behind wearing it. If I can't walk around the Trafford centre wearing a balaclava then why can they get away with their headgear?
Religion getting a free pass really gets my goat. The only way things will ever change is when the lawmakers of today are not the brainwashed children of yesterday.
I agree that if religious face coverings are allowed, all face coverings should be, within reason. Can one not walk down the street in a balaclava? I don’t see how it’s a problem.
