I'd be more interested in it if it was about love than sex, but I've never read a romance novel either. The book I'm reading at the moment is possibly a romance novel... I don't know what you'd call it really. Swann's Way by Marcel Proust. I chose to read it because it was supposed to be elucidating about love but I don't know whether I'd class it as a romance novel per se. What it is though is a real drag, very heavy on description and a bit of an endurance test to read. It is elucidating in some ways but now I know how other people feel when I'm going on and on about mental states in the abstract

It's not just gay porn. It's an actual novel that just happens to be spicy in the gay department.
